I'm sure it is no secret that the amount of soccer tournaments has grown rapidly over the last 4 years and that growth is continuing. The problem facing tournament directors is getting their tournaments to stand out in this crowded field and attract new teams and retain last year's teams.

The Back of THE NET (BOTN) is instituting a new series for its BOTNradio component, our 24/7 professional internet radio station targeting the youth soccer consumer.

The Back of THE NET, the first youth soccer website on the internet is now in its 16th year. Established in the Long Island/Eastern New York market, BOTN is the dominant news and information site for this entire area, boasting an average 850,000 page hits a day.

Here is what we would like to propose to you. No cost, no strings, just free publicity.

If you are interested, we will make an appointment to interview and record by phone you or someone you designate to tell everyone about your tournament. The interview will be about 10 minutes. In that time you will be asked a series of questions (see below) and it is done. The interview will, in essence, be your tournament infomercial which will stream in rotation with other tournaments and additionally, an on-demand copy will be placed on www.soccerpark.com

Don't be shy. Look over the questions below, think about what you would say, and email cjorlando@backofthenet.com to setup a time that is convenient for BOTN to call. It is that simple.

After your interview is streaming, you may use the link in your tournament emails and on your tournament site. You may also link to www.BOTNradio.com

We're hope you will take advantage of this free public relations opportunity. Oh, what's in it for us? Youth soccer radio content!

Here are the questions we will ask:

1. The tournament's overall program. Is it premier or for general travel teams?
2. How many teams does your tournament usually field?
3. What areas of interest are there within 20 to 30 miles for participants to visit?
4. The best way to apply to your tournament
5. Is your tournament USYSA and/or USClub sanctioned?
6. Cost of attending your tournament, number of games, roster size, playoffs, finals, etc.?
7. Your infomercial in your own words. This is where you get to say whatever you wish to say about your tournament. Feel free to praise, praise, praise and promote!
