League Division
You should select the division that best matches your league classification.

If the classification does not accurately describe your league, or you have extenuating circumstances, you should make a note in the Team Resume field below

General Guidelines
To help you determine your correct division, we have put together some definitions for you.

Elite, Premier – Regularly compete with, and defeat, teams that are State Cup Champions or Runner-ups.

A – Capable of competing against State Cup Champion teams, but usually cannot win against that level.

B – Competitive with middle level teams in “major” competitive leagues.

C – Competitive with mid level teams and below in competitive leagues.

In order to fairly and accurately seed teams applying it is imperative that you frankly and cordially fill out as much information as possible in particular the description of the level of play in Leagues and Tournament. Falsifying information is grounds for rejection.

Requested Division
Your team will be placed in the most appropriate division if selected to participate in the tournament. However, we would like to offer you an opportunity to give us some help in placing your team. By selecting one or the other division, you are not guaranteed to be placed in the division you selected.

Some age groups may offer, especially lower age groups, an option of 6v6, 8v8 or 11v11. If your state association has set up specific 6v6 or 8v8 for your age group, you may wish to request that division to ensure proper bracketing.

Primary Contact
While the head coach is the primary contact for many teams, you have the option of selecting a team rep, ass't coach, etc. to be the primary contact for the team. THE PERSON YOU SELECT HERE WILL RECEIVE ALL THE INFORMATION REGARDING THE TOURNAMENT, INCLUDING THE ACCEPTANCE EMAIL, in the event your team is accepted.

It is VERY important that the person acting as the PRIMARY CONTACT maintain an active telephone and accessible email address (particularly nights and weekends) at all times! Your team's success with the application process depends on this as the tournament DOES NOT use the postal system to send schedules or any other information regarding the tournament. It is all done using email.

Primary Email Address
This is the email address we will use to send your application printout that you will need to use to send to the tournament ALONG WITH YOUR FEES.* If you do not supply an email address here, your form will not be accepted on line.

Please remove all SPAM BLOCKING or other junk mail filtering from the email address you use on this application!!! Your team's success with the application process depends on this as the tournament DOES NOT use the postal system to send schedules or any other information regarding the tournament. It is all done using email. We will NOT go through any human-verification processes that are set up by your ISP!

This email address will also receive ALL of the official correspondence for the tournament, including the acceptance email should your team be accepted into the tournament.

An email address is required because the tournament has elected to publish many of their communications including, but not limited to:

  • Application forms
  • Acceptance packets
  • Announcements
  • General Information

By supplying an email address that is RELIABLE and STABLE and by checking it at least once a day from the time you apply through the completion of the tournament, you can be assured that you will receive the most timely infomration regarding your participation at the event.

It is important that the email address be of the correct format, i.e., name@domain.com. Email addresses end in .net, .name, .org, etc. If you are using an AOL or MSN address, please be sure to include the @aol.com or @msn.com behind your screen name.

Also, we will not sell, rent, lend or otherwise disclose email addresses you supply us to a third party for any reason. Period. The email address you give us will be used only for the tournament.

Home Phone
A phone number is required in the very rare event that we need to contact you via phone immediately. While the form asks you to put down your home phone, you should use a phone number where you can be reached quickly, ESPECIALLY nights and weekends.

TXT Messaging Email Address
We may use this address to send a broadcast about weather, short-notice game changes, etc. We encourage you to supply a text-messaging address if your phone is capable.

We realize most plans charge the user for receiving TXT Messages, so we will only use this for emergencies.

Rankings
The two top team and club rankings sites, GotSoccer.com and NationalSoccerRankings.com provide a good way for the tournament to assess your team. It will save us time and seed your team more accurately if you complete this.

For more information about the rankings, please visit the respective sites and list your team.

Secondary Contact
While we always expect things to go well, we like to gather this infomation just in case. The secondary contact is insurance in case the primary contact were to be unavailable and we need to get hold of someone. Each team should be given a different alternate contact.

The secondary contact may be the same as the primary contact, though this is really not recommended.

The secondary contact will also receive all communications sent regarding the tournament.

Which division does my team belong in?
To help you determine your correct division, we have put together some definitions for you.

1 – Strong competition often from bigger schools, schools that have access to more select players or smaller programs that foresee a particularly strong year ahead.

2 – Very good competition often from smaller schools that consistently win or bigger programs getting better or are having a building year.

3 – Growing programs or a second team from the same school and some reserve teams. Often some of the most fun play.

Newspaper Information
Please supply a local newspaper, email address and news-release fax for your home town newspaper. In the event your team wins their division, we will send a news release to the number published below.

NOTE: We can not send photos, but you are encouraged to contact your newspaper and submit a photo. Your team has a better chance of being published if:

  • You call the editor and have a personal conversation
  • Have an angle that connects the tournament to the community
  • Ask about the news release and confirm he/she received it.
  • Offer to send a photo (preferably a HI RESOLUTION DIGITAL) or offer to make the team available for a photo that they shoot, whichever they prefer.

While we will send in the press release on your team, it is up to the newspaper whether or not the story will publish.

Sorry, we can not send a press release for any other teams but the division winners. However, we encourage you to create a press release and follow up with your local newspaper, regardless of how your team finished.
